Supporting the
Underserved Minority Community
We envision that underserved minority students everywhere would be inspired to transform their lives and build social and economically stable futures for themselves and their communities.
Our goal is to reach, teach, and empower 10,000 students and their families by 2024.
Our Impact
The ultimate financial educational goal is for the students to be educated, equipped, and empowered to make better informed financial decisions. I am committed to bringing together collaborative partners from across sectors to develop and execute a strategy to achieve this outcome.
Both work and school provide important skills for transitioning into adulthood. Research says people with higher levels of education may be healthier and live longer. Interventions that increase high school graduation rates and help young people in the job market are important for improving physical and mental health.
Increase enrollment in higher education, vocational training, and trade schools to gain access to sustainable employment for underserved at risk minority students and their families.
Building social and economic stability in low to moderate communities by providing, financial literacy education, career pathways, and entrepreneurial development programs.
We aim to increase the financial capability of economically vulnerable young workers between the ages of 16-24 as they enter the workforce.
our
focus
Educational & Financial Literacy Training
Our Mission is to increase economic empowerment, eradicate income inequity, and close the wealth gap in underserved low- and moderate-income communities throughout Southern California.
Goal
Statistical Data:
11.2 percent of adolescents and young adults aged 16 to 24 years were neither enrolled in school nor working in 2017
People with more education have opportunities for higher-paying, safer jobs. They’re also less likely to have health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and depression. But many people who graduate from high school don’t go to college, and there are disparities by income and race/ethnicity
